Jenga 1.0

2 Walls, 1 Column
11' x 32'-4"
Inspiration: Continuity

The feeling and look of continuity is accomplished for the most part due to the stairs, which wrap around the first floor of the space. The column blasts through the mezzanine to greet the ceiling. A portion of the wall continues through the half story and falls just shy of the ceiling of the space. The repetition of materials enhances the feeling of continuity and the overall experience for the user(s).

2 Columns, 1 Wall
22' x 22'
Inspiration: Recoil (forced to relax)

Recoil is meant to make the user(s) feel as if they are being forced to relax after an excruciating day. Just as the door is being pushed open a sunken relaxation/meditation space greets your vision. The relaxation area is effortless to access thus inviting the user to interact with the space. The permanent sleeping quarters lies just above this area hinting a higher level of privacy.

2 Solids
22' x 32'-4"
Inspiration: Sound wave

The space resembles the shape and characteristics of a sound wave. While the floor plan takes the physical shape of a low frequency sound wave, the space in the third dimension operates on three levels just as a sound wave does. The levels also act as a barrier to the users by creating three levels of privacy with the third level being the most private area.
